Commercial Prevacuum
Dry soil is removed by a thorough vacuuming. Removing dry soil is one of the most important steps in cleaning.

Furniture Moving
Our regular pricing includes moving sofas, chairs, tables and smaller items. Beds, dressers, and heavier pieces are left in place under our regular pricing structure. For commercial jobs, chairs and desk mats that are removable are moved. Desks, file cabinets, and heavier furniture is left in place under our regular pricing structure. Any residential or commercial job can be customized to fit your needs. A specialist can quote exactly what the cost would be to move each piece.

Prespray
A preconditioning agent is applied to emulsify the traffic area soil and general spots.

Prespot
Special solutions made for specific spots are applied to each spot to break it down and prepare it for extraction.

Manual Pregrooming
A professional carpet groomer is used to further loosen the soil.

Rotary Cleaning
For traffic areas that have a significant amount of distortion or soiling, a rotary machine will be used to thoroughly loosen the soil.

Truckmounted Hot Water Extraction
The carpet is thoroughly rinsed with a powerful truckmounted system. The rinse agent is flushed through the pile and immediately vacuumed with the powerful suction of our state-of-the art truckmounted machinery. Since the soil is preemulsified and loosened, the pressure used is lower than other companies, therefore not overwetting the carpet.

Neutralizer
Every carpet we clean is pH balanced so there is no sticky residue left behind. This treatment is used as a rinse or applied after the rinse depending on soiling condition.

Deodorizer
A mild deodorizer is added to the rinse agent. Our deodorizers are not overbearing. The deodorizer will simply add a pleasant scent.

General Spotting
We attempt to remove normal food and beverage. General spotting is described as spots not requiring special cleaning solutions or special spotting procedures.

Specialty Spotting
We stock 22 specialty spot removal products on our vans to attempt removal of urine, red dye spots, yellowing, filtration soiling, etc.

Dry Bonnet
A thick, absorbent cotton pad is used on a rotary machine to absorb additional moisture, therefore promoting a faster drying time. *Not used in all situations.

Speed Dry
A high velocity air mover is placed on the carpet immediately after cleaning to promote faster drying. By using the dry bonnet and air movers, we get the fastest drying time in the industry for the level of soil we remove.

Post Grooming
The carpet is groomed with a professional groomer so that the pile of the carpet is standing tall when we leave. The carpet will dry in this position. Grooming also helps distribute pockets of moisture and assist in the fast drying process as well.

DuPont Teflon Carpet Protector
When carpeting is made, it has two protective properties. One is a "dye blocker" or 11stain resist" property. This is simply a clear dye that fills in the empty dye sites, so that it is difficult for a spill or spot to penetrate the fiber. The second is a "soil resistor" like 3M Scotchgard or Dupont Teflon. This product is sprayed on the yam and baked on at a high temperature. This helps to resist against common dry soil, and to act as a barrier between the spill and the dye blocker. After a period of about 2 to 3 years, depending on traffic, the soil resistor wears off and needs to be reapplied.

FourguardTM Carpet Protector Ready-to-Use
Prochem FourGuard Carpet Protector is the ideal product for reapplying carpet protection. Application of FourGuard Carpet Protector helps enhance the carpet's stain resistance which is gradually worn by everyday traffic and soil. It also applies a fluorocarbon protector which resists soil and makes the carpet easier to clean. It protects against soil, stains, spills and oil.

After applying DuPont Teflon to the carpet, more dry soil will be removed with vacuuming. Most spots will be removed with just water.

Guaranteed Urine Odor Removal
We have 2 Urine Odor Treatments available:

1. Minor Odor Treatment Our Minor Odor Treatment is NOT GUARANTEED. We will saturate affected areas with an enzyme. It usually helps the odor somewhat and is a good alternative to a costly Major Odor Treatment.

2. Major Odor Treatment. This treatment is GUARANTEED to remove the odor. The process involves pulling up the carpet in the affected area, cleaning the backing, removing the padding, treating the subfloor, replacing the pad, treating the backing of the carpet with a special odor barrier and treating the pile of the carpet with an enzyme. This process is highly effective.

Expert Upholstery Cleaning
Carsten Cleaning can clean any type of fiber whether it is man made or natural. We carry a variety- of effective cleaning procedures for upholstery. Generally each fabric is prevacuumed, presprayed, and rinsed. Our presprays and rinsing agents range from completely water free to special low moisture tools. Our technicians are some of the best upholstery cleaners in the city. After testing the fabric for colorfastness, they will determine exactly how your piece should be cleaned.

FourguardTM Upholstery Protector
After the fabric is cleaned, it will need to be protected. FourGuard Upholstery Protector is a waterbased fluorocarbon protector which resists soil and makes the upholstery easier to clean. It protects against soil, stains, spills and oil.

In-Plant Oriental Rug Cleaning
For a thorough cleaning of your fine rugs, Carsten Cleaning has a very effective rug cleaning facility. To clean an Oriental rug properly, it should be cleaned in an environment where it can be properly dried. We clean rugs from all over the world. The process in which we clean is as follows: A pile lifter and vacuum are used to remove as much dry soil as possible. The rug is then sprayed with a preconditioning agent and shampooed with Oriental Rug Shampoo. After thoroughly rinsing the rug and cleaning the ftinge, the rug is hung to dry in our controlled dry room.

On-Location Drapery Fresh
Now the dust and dirt can be removed from your drapes without being removed from the windows. Our unique process is effective and inexpensive. The drapes are thoroughly vacuumed. They are then cleaned with a dry-cleaning sponge. This liquidless sponge absorbs dirt, dust, and pollens that have settled in the drapes. The drapes are then misted lightly with Drapery Fresh which displaces oily soils.

Carpet Restretching and Repair
After a period of a few years, depending on soiling, traffic and installation, a carpet will need to be restretched. If you have "buckles" in your carpet, then it needs to be stretched. This condition is caused be the relaxing of the backing as the carpet is walked on. We use a power stretcher to get your carpet as tight or tighter than when it was new. If you should have holes, seams coming apart or any other damage to your carpet, an expert carpet repair can be done for you.
