Frequently Asked Questions

What should you do before your carpet is cleaned?

    1. Please pick up small items and clear as much space as desired to be cleaned.
    2. Have a good vacuum on the areas we will clean before we come.
    3. Arrange for pets and children to be away from the area we are cleaning.

How long does the carpet cleaning process take?
Thanks to our new technology, most residential homes don’t take more than an hour to an hour and a half. This varies depending on soil and job. Often times partial cleanings are much less than an hour.

How soon can I walk on it?
Keep pets, children, and regular traffic off the carpet for a couple of hours if possible. Then keep traffic to a minimum for the following 4-6 hours. This gives the carpet the best chance to dry, and keeps subsoil at bay helping to prevent wicking.

Do you move the furniture?
Most of the time we clean the major traffic areas, and around the remaining furniture. Couches, tables, of other items may be moved upon request.

Can you clean carpet or rugs over hardwood floors?
Yes, our low moisture system is designed so that the backing of the carpet or rug will not have any moisture in it, therefore causing no problem with anything below the rug. Rugs may even be cleaned on top of regular stretch in carpet without causing any damage. Due to our neutral-based solution, there is no issue with any moisture around edges either, our rinse does not affect hardwood floors.

Do you treat spots & stains? Does that cost extra?
We can remove any spot that is not a permanent stain. Most discolorations, spills, and spots come out with regular cleaning. However, if the spill has altered the color of the fiber resulting in a stain, we do have treatments to address this. Most regular yellow stains can be treated, and treatment for these is included in regular cleaning costs unless in extreme cases. Red spots require an additional process and have additional costs. Other random colored spots such as green and blue may clean out depending on the substance or may require patching at additional costs. Feel free to call with any other questions about spots and stains.

What about reoccurring spots?
If a spot is found shortly after cleaning, it is likely that we were not able to remove the spot. These are typically addressed during/after the cleaning. If a spot fully goes away and then returns later, it is likely caused by something below the carpet. We can not address substances below the carpet, but we can thoroughly clean the carpet with low moisture and a drying agent ensuring the best chances of preventing something below the carpet from wicking back up. Again, spots of this nature are usually addressed at the time of cleaning.

My carpet has bleached or faded spots, can you correct that?
If there is color loss in the carpet, we can do a carpet repair for you by replacing that area of carpet with another piece from a closet, or extra carpet if you have any.

Indentions from heavy furniture?
No guarantee can be made on removing indentions from furniture. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of the carpet is indented. Grooming with our dual rotating brush system can certainly help, but it may take time to completely release back to normal (IF) it comes back all the way. Severe cases do not come back 100%.
